WHAT IS PSYCHOLOGY?
Psychology is the scientific study of human mind and behavior. The goal of Psychology is to describe, explain, predict, and modify human behaviors using scientific methods. Psychology as a scientific study has existed for over 200 years. Psychology has remained a vital field of study over the years in this ever changing world.
WHY CHOOSE FACULTY OF PSYCHOLOGY UI?
UI established the first Faculty of Psychology in Indonesia in 1960. Faculty of Psychology UI is currently the benchmark of Psychology faculty in Indonesia. Faculty of Psychology encourages its students to take active participation both in classroom activities and in extracurricular activities to facilitate students’ self-growth.
The graduates of Faculty of Psychology UI work in national and multinational organizations in a variety of field, such as human resources, market research, community empowerment, human relations, and education.
Faculty of Psychology UI has been collaborating with The University of Queensland, Australia since 2000 in running our International Class Program. This program has been awarded and showcased by the Australian Government as best-practice for international engagement.
INTERNATIONAL CLASS PROGRAM STRUCTURE
The International Class Bachelor Program in Faculty of Psychology UI is a joint-degree program. Upon successful completion, students will be awarded Sarjana Psikologi (S.Psi) and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (B.A.in Psychology).
The study program can be completed in 4 years. Students will spend the first 2 years at UI in the first 2 years and continue their study at UQ in the remaining 2 years.
Students have to complete a total of 72 credits at UI (4 semesters) and a total of 32 units at UQ (4 semesters). In addition, students must also submit their own scientific article to UI in the last semester.
Students with excellent academic and nonacademic performances are encouraged to apply for a scholarship (UQ Tuition Waiver). Scholarship Recipients who complete the study program on time will receive an award from the Faculty of Psychology UI.

UQ was founded in 1910 as the first university in Queensland. In the 2019 QS World University Rankings, UQ is positioned at 48th globally and number one in Queensland. The Psychology program at UQ was ranked the best in Australia by Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subject in 2018.

UI International Class students are eligible to continue their study to UQ after meeting the following criteria:

Founded in 1910 as the first university in Queensland, in 2007, UQ was ranked 33rd in the world’s University ranking compiled by the Times Higher Education Supplement. The University is one of the only three Australian members of Universitas 21 which is a select international network of comprehensive research intensive universities.
UQ remains the most successful Australian University in winning the national teaching award in Australia. The university has more than 2200 highly qualified academic staff dedicated to teaching and research. The school of Psychology is located near the river of St. Lucia, 6 kilometers from Brisbane city centre, with an area of 114 hectare. Brisbane has 4 seasons but the climate is similar to Indonesia. With more than 50 courses offered for undergraduates along with internationally acclaimed teaching staffs, The School of Psychology at UQ is one of the most prestigious institution in Australia.
