Psychological sciences and practices should take into account the cultural forces that may shape individuals and their psychological processes. Many of reported psychological research were conducted in the WEIRD (Western, Educated, Industrialized, Rich, and Democratic) society. We know little whether it is replicated in a non-WEIRD context. Therefore, it is paramount to provide a platform in bridging the research in various cultural context. Faculty of Psychology UI and Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience UM took an initiative to collaborate for bridging scholars from both cultural contexts. Our virtual conference 2020 specifically aimed at filling the gap and providing a platform and forum for up-to-date psychology research from different cultural contexts.
